Mission

The Belgian Public Relations Consultants Association (BPRCA) brings together a group of core consultancies in Belgium with extensive experience in providing strategic communication advice. On the basis of careful analy­sis, these consultancies help define the strategic directions for their clients and implement the appropriate actions in a variety of communication disciplines in a wide range of social, institutional and economic sectors.

The BPRCA is the only professional association representing Belgium-based Public Relations consultancies. Its members offer advice to local and multinational organisations and institutions, providing strategic counsel for their activities in the Belgian market, as well as abroad.

The BPRCA's mission is to position its members as communication specialists and to guarantee their professionalism. In addition, the Association strictly monitors its members' observance of a code of ethics, indispensable in an unregulated market.

The BPRCA provides its members a platform for discussion and review of matters that are of common interest, both with regard to the evolution and trends within the market and current management issues in the PR industry.

The BPRCA also represents its members at international level in the ICCO (International Communications Consultancy Association - www.iccopr.com).

Values

The Stockholm Charter lays out a code of professional standards that aim to define our industry. All trade associations affiliated to the International Communications Consultancy Association (ICCO) and their member agencies have agreed to conform to the Stockholm Charter. This document was adopted in 2003 and replaced the Rome Charter, which was originally adopted by ICCO in 1986.
